Patent Attorney Karri Leskinen (M.Sc.) specializes in inventions relating to chemistry, especially inventions relating to the food and process industries. Karri actively participates in drafting and implementing the customers’ IPR strategies. He handles both national and international patent applications. In addition, Karri acts as an expert in patent litigation cases, gives statements on the interpretation of patents, and advises on patent rights in general. He also gives lectures in various connections.

Karri has worked as a patent attorney at BORENIUS & Co since 2005; in 2007, he was appointed as the managing director and a partner of the company. Karri has acted as a patent attorney since 1999.

He holds a Master of Science in chemistry, specializing in polymer chemistry and factory planning. His language skills are good: in addition to his mother tongue Finnish, he speaks English, Swedish and German.

Karri is a member of the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys; his positions of trust include being chairman (2004 to 2008) and secretary (2002 to 2004) of the association’s chemist group. He is also a member of FICPI, AIPPI, and the Finnish Association for Industrial Property Rights.

Karri’s leisure interests include golf, snowboarding, music, and reading.
