Patent Attorney Jonna Sahlin (M.Sc.) takes care of a wide range of industrial rights matters for her customers, specializing in the fields of chemistry, medical science, and diagnostics. She advices the customers in matters relating to industrial rights strategy. She acts a registered patent attorney in Finland and handles the patenting of inventions both on a national and international level. Jonna also performs freedom-to-operate analyses and gives statements on the interpretation of patents.

Jonna has worked at BORENIUS & Co since 1998; in 2005 she was appointed as a partner.

Jonna is the chairman of the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys (since 2010), and between 2002 and 2004 she also acted as the chairman of the association’s chemist group. She has actively participated in the cooperation of Nordic patent attorneys in the field of chemistry. She is also a member of the following associations: FICPI, UNION, the Finnish Association for Industrial Property Rights, and the Association of Finnish Chemical Societies.

Jonna holds a Master of Science in the field of chemistry, and she specialized in food technology and polymer technology. In addition to her mother tongue Swedish, Jonna speaks Finnish, English and German.

Jonna’s free time activities include scouting and sports.
