    Jonna Sahlin New Chairman of the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys

    Patent Attorney, Partner Jonna Sahlin was elected as the new chairman of the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys on 17 November 2009. Jonna has been acting in the patent industry since 1998. She has been a partner at BORENIUS & Co since 2005 and member of the management group since 2007. In addition to her work in the board and management group, she handles a broad scope of client assignments relating to IP rights, specializing in particular in the fields of chemistry, medicine and diagnostics. In the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys, she has previously acted as the chairman for the chemist group between 2002 and 2004 and has also been a member of the festive committee in 2003 and 2008.

    Jonna mentions that there are many important upcoming issues for the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys in the field of IPR, including the community patent and the IPR Court of the Finnish Market Court. Her objectives also include livening up the organizational activity among the members as well as enhancing the flow of information.
